Account Executive (Producer) 
Location: The Woodlands, Houston, Texas
Work model: Full-time remote
Role summary 
Tropolis is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Account Executive (Producer) to generate new business, develop client relationships, and grow a profitable book of business across commercial and personal lines. This role is designed for a sales professional who is highly motivated by production, relationship building, and long-term ownership of client outcomes. 
The Account Executive, Producer will be responsible for sourcing and closing new business opportunities, partnering with internal service teams to deliver a strong client experience, and driving retention and cross-sell opportunities over time.

Key Responsibilities

 
Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, centers of influence, networking, and targeted sales activity 
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities across commercial and personal lines 
Develop trusted advisor relationships with clients and prospects by understanding risk exposures and recommending appropriate insurance solutions 
Partner with account management and service teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process and high-quality ongoing client service 
Drive profitable growth with a focus on desirable client segments and strong underwriting discipline 
Maintain an active presence in the marketplace and represent Tropolis professionally in the community 
Support renewal strategy, client retention, and cross sell opportunities within the book 
Maintain compliance with all licensing, carrier, and regulatory requirements 
Stay current on carrier appetite, underwriting requirements, and industry changes impacting commercial property and casualty clients 
Success looks like 
Adoption of Tropolis sales process with measurable activities and outcomes 
Attaining new and renewal business goals 
Continued improvement in insurance principles and details regarding product offerings 
Strong working relationships with service team members, underwriters, and internal teams 
Required qualifications 
Proven success in insurance sales, business development, or producer roles 
Strong knowledge of commercial lines, personal lines, or both 
Demonstrated ability to prospect, build relationships, and close new business 
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong accountability for results 
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills 
Active insurance license required, or ability to obtain promptly if applicable

Purpose Plan

Compensation 
Compensation range: $75,000 base salary + uncapped commission 
Realistic total comp of $150,000 - $200,000+ at full ramp

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of any pre-employment testing required for the role and a satisfactory background check. This may include verification of licensing and credentials, employment history, and other checks consistent with applicable laws and business needs.
