About the Role
The COOL Company, a next-generation Supply-Side Platform (SSP), is expanding its global publisher partnerships team across several key international markets. We are looking for experienced ad tech professionals with existing publisher relationships and a strong understanding of publisher monetization and programmatic advertising. This is not an entry-level sales role. Successful candidates will already have experience working within the ad tech ecosystem and an established network of publisher contacts in their local market. As a Account Executive - Publisher Development, you will own the full publisher partnership lifecycle, from leveraging existing relationships and sourcing new opportunities to commercial negotiations, onboarding coordination, and long-term revenue growth. The ideal candidate can immediately engage publisher decision-makers, generate partnership opportunities through their network, and independently drive publisher growth within their region.
Responsibilities & Duties
Identify and onboard premium publishers within your assigned region
Build relationships with publisher owners, monetization teams, ad ops teams, and programmatic decision-makers
Lead outbound prospecting, discovery calls, partnership discussions, and commercial negotiations
Educate publishers on the value of our SSP, direct demand relationships, and monetization capabilities
Work closely with account management, ad operations, and technical teams to ensure smooth integrations and successful launches
Manage onboarding timelines and partner communication throughout the integration process
Maintain accurate pipeline management and CRM tracking
Grow long-term publisher relationships focused on revenue performance and retention
Represent the COOL company within your regional programmatic ecosystem

Must-Have Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in ad tech, SSPs, publisher monetization, programmatic advertising, ad exchanges, or publisher development
Existing relationships within the publisher ecosystem of your assigned market
Experience selling to, onboarding, managing, or growing publisher partnerships
Strong understanding of publisher monetization and programmatic advertising
Ability to independently source and close publisher opportunities
Fluency in English and the primary language of your assigned market
Candidates without direct ad tech experience will not be considered.
Qualifications
Professional Competencies
1+ years of experience in publisher development, SSP partnerships, publisher monetization, programmatic advertising, ad exchanges, or ad tech business development
Existing publisher relationships within the assigned region are strongly preferred and will be a major factor in the hiring decision
Ability to demonstrate previous publisher partnerships sourced, managed, negotiated, or expanded
Strong understanding of SSPs, header bidding, Prebid, programmatic advertising, and publisher monetization strategies
Experience onboarding and managing publisher partnerships
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Comfortable navigating both commercial and technical conversations
Proven ability to build, close, and grow publisher partnerships
Self-sufficient and capable of managing a regional territory independently
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Software Skill Set
CRM platforms (HubSpot or similar)

Ideal candidates will have:
Experience working at an SSP, ad exchange, publisher monetization platform, ad network, publisher, or related ad tech company
An active network of publisher contacts that can be leveraged immediately for partnership discussions
Strong local publisher relationships within their assigned region
Experience closing publisher partnerships and driving measurable revenue growth
Deep understanding of publisher monetization, header bidding, Prebid, and programmatic infrastructure
The ability to identify and develop multiple publisher opportunities within the first 30-60 days of joining
Fluency in English and the primary language of their assigned market
