Account Manager - Life Safety

The Life Safety team plays an important role with local Municipal, Industrial and Government organizations. Our customers rely on us to provide solutions that help protect lives, equipment, and communities.

 

What You’ll Do

Develop new business opportunities through company lead follow-ups, industry contacts, tender sites, and market awareness

High-Value Customer Engagement – spend your time meeting customers, understanding their operations, and recommending solutions that protect people and critical equipment.

Build and grow relationships with organizations that depend on high quality Fire Fighting Equipment, PPE and Safety equipment relevant to their standards and Environments. 

Own and Grow Your Territory – build relationships with municipalities, industrial safety professionals and equipment manufacturers, while expanding both new and existing business.

Manage and grow existing customer relationships, identifying opportunities to expand instrumentation solutions and services

Work closely with inside sales and technical teams to deliver accurate and timely quotes and technical solutions

Visit customer sites to understand operational needs and recommend appropriate Safety solutions

Support service initiatives including maintenance, calibration, and Inspection schedules.

Act as the face of our Life Safety division to municipalities, Fire Departments and Industrial Safety customers

Maintain and manage opportunities, account activity, and pipeline visibility using CRM tools

Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to support territory growth and sales planning

Participate in product training, supplier updates, and certification opportunities

Represent K&D Pratt at mutual aid meetings, industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings

Promote safe work practices and demonstrate safety leadership in all aspects of the role

Deep customer relationships with multi business unit involvement providing complete sales and service capabilities

 

What You Bring

2+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in Fire Fighting, Safety or technically related sales

Demonstrated success developing new business while growing existing customer relationships

Hands-on technical experience in Fire Fighting, Industrial Safety or related Industries

Experience or familiarity with SCBA, Bunker Gear, PPE, Gas detection, Nozzle/Hose Dynamics and Fall arrest equipment

Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills, with the ability to understand customer operations and recommend practical solutions

Ability to manage a sales pipeline, prioritize opportunities, and maintain accurate activity within CRM systems

Comfortable working independently in a territory-based role while collaborating with inside sales and technical teams

Organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented in a fast-moving territory sales environment

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within your assigned territory

Bilingual English/French is considered an asset but not required

 

Travel & Territory

This role includes regular travel to customer locations within, but not limited to, New Brunswick/PEI

 

Experience in municipal Fire safety equipment, industrial safety, or related industries is considered an asset but not required.
