Accountant
Navacord is dedicated to providing exceptional experiences in the insurance industry. The Accountant will support day-to-day accounting tasks, engage with clients and brokers, and contribute to a positive team culture while ensuring deadlines and service level targets are met.
Responsibilities
- Daily contact with our external clients, dealership partners and internal brokers, covering a variety of Accounts Receivables and Payables tasks
- Troubleshooting gaps in current processes and implementing improvements with an eliminate, simplify, standardize, and automate mindset
- Monthly General Ledger reconciliations
- Cross-train and act as backup on key Accounting tasks
- Contributing to a positive team culture and supporting your coworkers
- Other jobs assigned by your manager
Skills
- Minimum 1 year experience in an Accounting related role
- You enjoy being part of a team with a mix of face-to-face and virtual interaction
- Ability to meet firm deadlines, under potential time pressure
- Building and maintaining relationships comes natural to you
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing work priorities
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience having difficult conversations
- Take initiative to identify and address issues or opportunities, solve problems and address conflict
- Proven ability to work efficiently in Microsoft Excel with Pivot Tables and other formulas (VLOOKUP, SUMIF)
