Accounting Manager

Remote, USA
Posted Jun 12, 2026
Full-time

We are a fast-growing, multi-entity service company and we are seeking a highly capable Accounting Manager based in Latin America to support our U.S. operations in a fully remote capacity. This is not a passive accounting role, we are looking for a process-driven operator who can bring structure, discipline, and ownership to our financial operations. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for owning the day-to-day accounting engine, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and building scalable systems that support continued growth. You will work closely with leadership to ensure our numbers are clean, reliable, and actionable.

In this role, you will take full ownership of the monthly close process, ensuring all financials are completed accurately and on time—no later than the 10th of each month. You will manage general ledger integrity across multiple entities, reconcile accounts, and standardize accounting processes to eliminate inefficiencies and bottlenecks. You will also oversee bookkeeping and administrative accounting functions, holding team members accountable to deadlines and performance standards while improving workflows and data accuracy. A key part of your role will be supporting job costing and margin analysis, helping leadership better understand financial performance and make informed decisions.

We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within service-based or field service businesses, who has hands-on experience managing the close process and working across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident in enforcing processes and deadlines. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, capable of identifying problems and implementing solutions without constant direction. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be working remotely with U.S.-based leadership and teams.

This role is best suited for someone who takes ownership, thrives on creating order from chaos, and is motivated by building systems that scale. It is not a fit for someone who prefers a slow-paced, highly structured corporate environment or avoids accountability. In return, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in building and shaping the accounting function of a growing company, with the potential to grow into a Controller-level position over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who will I be working with day-to-day?
You will work closely with me (CEO), our leadership team, and our existing accounting staff. You will also collaborate with our Controller and external CPA partners. Communication and coordination across teams is a key part of this role.

What level of autonomy and authority will I have?
You will have real ownership of the accounting function. I expect you to take control of processes, enforce deadlines, and hold people accountable. If something isn’t working, I want you to fix it. You will have my support as CEO to drive structure and make improvements.

What kind of person thrives in this position?
Someone who takes ownership, is process-driven, and isn’t afraid to lead. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating order out of chaos, setting standards, and building systems that scale. If you’re proactive, disciplined, and confident in holding others accountable, you will do very well here.

What does success look like in this role?
Success means bringing clarity and control to our financials. I expect clean, accurate financial statements delivered on time every month, strong ownership of the close process, and a noticeable improvement in organization and accountability across our accounting function. If I can trust the numbers without second-guessing them, you’re winning.

What are the biggest challenges someone will face in this role?
We are a growing, multi-entity business, so things aren’t perfect or fully structured yet. You will need to step into an environment where processes need to be built or improved, and where you may have to push for information and enforce deadlines across departments. This is not a maintenance role, it’s a build-and-lead role.

Is this a contractor (1099) or employee (W2) position?
This is a contractor position

Is there opportunity for growth in this role?
Yes. As we grow, there is a clear path for this role to evolve into a Controller position. If you demonstrate leadership, ownership, and the ability to build systems that scale, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility over time.

Is there a trial or test period? About how long?
We have a 90 day probationary period.

How structured is the company today?
We have strong operations and growing revenue, but our accounting systems and processes need improvement. That’s why this role exists. If you’re someone who likes stepping into a business and building structure, you’ll find a lot of opportunity here.

How do you measure performance in this role?
It comes down to three things: accuracy, timeliness, and control. Are the financials correct? Are they delivered on time? And are processes improving so we have fewer issues each month? If those three areas are strong, you’re performing at a high level.
