About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented qualified Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) to join our Centralised Prescribing Team.

The ACT will be responsible for ensuring prescribing practice is meeting legal, clinical, and safety standards. This role plays a vital part in supporting the pharmacist and enhancing patient safety by allowing greater focus on clinical care. The successful candidate will be a registered pharmacy technician with ACT accreditation and a strong commitment to excellence in remote clinical pharmacy practice.

You will
Clinical Query Resolution & triage 
Support the delivery of the management of ADHD medication and knowledge of the initiation and titration of ADHD treatment

Support the duty team in responding to client queries, and monitoring duty ticket requests 

Responding to clinical queries from clients such as side effect and treatment plan queries 

Reviewing physical observations submitted by clients and discussing results with clients and/or the wider prescribing team as part of duty or triage 

Escalation of issues, concerns or abnormal results 

Monitoring risk during contact with clients 

MDT or liaison with the specialist advisory group (cardiologist, psychiatrists, paediatrician and specialist ND expert) 

Liaising with ADHD prescribers regarding medication monitoring 

Support pharmacist in reviewing clinical observations from patients such as blood pressure, BMI, pulse to ensure safe prescribing - Use medicines expertise to provide evidence-based advice to clients - Clinical pharmacy experience, mental health expertise, and the ability to work autonomously within a remote multidisciplinary team 

What we are looking for

Must haves
Qualified Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician 

Relevant training or qualifications in mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions (ADHD)

Previous experience specifically within ADHD specialist services

Experience with titration and long-term management of stimulant and non-stimulant ADHD medications 

Understanding of clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement processes related to prescribing

Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and risk assessment in mental health and remote care settings

Experience in remote clinical service provision or digital healthcare environments

Comfortable working independently and remotely  

Excellent communication and record-keeping skills  

 Nice to haves 

Understanding of ADHD medication pathways in the UK (NHS, RTC, private)  

Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities 

Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and evolving digital environment

Ability to adapt and contribute to service development in a growing, evolving organisation
