  • Working with a Quality team that honors diversity and fosters positive global partnerships.   • Supporting “Quality as a Competitive Advantage” within the division by promoting a customer first and sustainability mindset based on voice of the complaint, risk-based thinking, and error proofing (Plan-Do-Check-Act).

  • Driving Design for Quality efforts for new product commercialization and change management projects in collaboration with Lab, Application Development Engineer (ADE), and Manufacturing. Providing expertise in Design Reviews and quality tools Ensuring VOC is translated to robust quality plans that are seamlessly executed at the factory level. Negotiating specifications directly with customer and development team.

  • Identifying product quality improvement opportunities and Product Process Understanding (PPU) and is efficient in making project proposals, prioritizing, collaborating, and executing priority programs. Identifying and tracking critical Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

  • Providing statistical insights through control chart analysis, manufacturing capability analysis, and experimental designs. Supporting team in efforts in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Statistical Quality Control (SQC).

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)

  • Two (2) years of combined plant experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Quality Engineering and/or Product Engineering (private, public, government or military environment)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a STEM related discipline from an accredited institution

  • Experience in manufacturing and quality requirements in a high-tech industry (electronics, interconnect, data center, semiconductor, medical, automotive, aerospace, etc.)

  • Experience working on a cross-functional team.

  • High-Tech industry experience (Electronics, Interconnect, Data Center, Semiconductor, Medical, Automotive and/or Aerospace)

  • Expertise with quality engineering tools such as: (Design Reviews, House of Quality, PPU, Statistics, APQP, FMEA, control plans, PPAP, SAP and/or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) documentation systems

  • Expertise in statistical insights, including design of experiments, data analysis and software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).

  • Experience change management, complaint management, supplier management, auditing
