Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to lead and mature a segment of the accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys building structure from ambiguity, and is motivated by both strategic impact and day-to-day execution.
You will:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly GAAP financial statements
- Supervise Accounts Payable
- Work closely with team on Audit & Tax related items
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Assist in the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Assist in preparation of Board-level reporting packages, including:
- Revenue, margin, and product line performance
- Customer metrics (e.g., churn, ACV)
- Ensure accuracy of income statement accounts
Accounting & Compliance
- Oversee accounts payable processes
- Manage bank and credit card reconciliations
- Oversee sales/use tax filings
- Support preparation of federal and state income tax filings
- Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify automation and efficiency improvements across accounting workflows
- Partner with Finance team to improve financial data quality, reporting accuracy, and operational visibility
Leadership & Partnership
- Collaborate closely with the Finance team
- Support leadership in building a scalable financial infrastructure
- Monitor and train the accounting personnel
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP systems)
- Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience managing month-end close and reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, analysis, modeling)
- Cellphone or personal device to receive MFA (multi-factor authentication) texts or calls.
- Have an internet connection that’s adequate for their job, a minimum of 10Mbps down.
Preferred Experience
- CPA (active or in progress)
- Experience with sales tax and multi-state compliance
