About Majcherczyk Digital

Majcherczyk Digital is an independent film and television production company developing original narrative projects across film and digital media. We are currently expanding our creative team for our upcoming feature film, #NOTHER, and are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Composer to support the project's Lead Composer throughout the scoring process.

This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring film composers, music producers, orchestrators, and recent music graduates looking to gain hands-on experience working on a feature film production.
The Role

The Assistant Composer will work closely with the Lead Composer to help bring the musical vision of the film to life. This role combines creative, technical, and organizational responsibilities, supporting everything from score preparation and MIDI programming to music editing and project management.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, musically skilled, and comfortable working remotely within a collaborative production environment. Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Lead Composer with the development and production of the film score.
• Create and refine MIDI mockups, demos, and reference tracks.
• Transfer and adapt musical scores from notation software (such as Sibelius, Dorico, or Finale) into Logic Pro, Cubase, or equivalent DAWs.
• Ensure accurate translation of orchestration, dynamics, articulations, and performance markings between notation and production software.
• Assist with orchestration, arrangement, and instrumentation tasks as required.
• Organize and maintain music sessions, project files, stems, and backups.
• Prepare music materials and assets for recording sessions when required.
• Support cue management, version tracking, and score revisions.
• Assist with music editing and synchronization of cues to picture.
• Research musical styles, references, and creative influences relevant to the project.
• Prepare exports, stems, mixes, and other deliverables for review and post-production integration.
• Help maintain virtual instrument libraries, templates, and production workflows.
• Attend remote meetings with the composer and production team as required.
• Support general music department administration and coordination tasks.
• Contribute creative ideas while working under the guidance of the Lead Composer. Desired Skills & Experience
• Understanding of film scoring, orchestration, harmony, and composition techniques.
• Experience with DAWs such as Logic Pro, Cubase, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, or similar.
• Familiarity with notation software such as Sibelius, Dorico, or Finale.
• Experience working with virtual instruments and orchestral sample libraries.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for film music and cinematic storytelling.
