Assistant Medical Billing Specialist | Work From Home
Salary: PHP 18,000 - 20,000 / month
Job Description:
Prepare and organize medical billing documentation to ensure accurate and timely claim submission
Review patient records for completeness and accuracy prior to billing
Accurately enter and update billing data in the system and internal tracking tools
Support billers and coders by ensuring all required documentation is complete and readily available
Verify insurance information and identify discrepancies for escalation to the billing team
Monitor claim status and maintain updated records in internal systems
Assist in resolving minor claim issues and escalate complex concerns to billers or coders as needed
Generate detailed reports on pending, in-progress, and completed tasks
Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of medical billing processes, insurance verification, and claims lifecycle
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and billing software is a plus
Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and validate data for accuracy and completeness
Proficient in data entry and comfortable using spreadsheets and internal tracking tools
Good understanding of insurance verification processes and common discrepancies
Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and compliance
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for coordination with billers, coders, and internal teams
Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify minor issues and escalate complex concerns appropriately
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment
