Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Unit Manager I - Specialty Critical Care to join our team at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC). As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of a complex Special Critical Care Unit, such as Emergency Department, Labor & Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, or Perioperative Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Assign and review work, oversee staffing, and assist with day-to-day clinical operations of a Special Critical Care Unit
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and implement changes to improve patient care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent patient outcomes
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment

Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing
  • Two (2) years of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse with one (1) year of experience in a Specialty Unit (Burn Center, Cardiac Services, Critical Care, Emergency Department/Trauma, Labor & Delivery, Medical Imaging, and Operative Services)
  • Current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Certifications/courses required by unit (e.g., Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Fetal Monitoring, Critical Care course)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory/charge nurse experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
