Blogger with Background in Education Wanted

Looking for an experienced writer. Must have background in education. Test prep (SAT/ACT/AP) a plus.

This is a contract position ideal for someone who is passionate about writing and education.

Individual must understands how to engage and inform parents through thoughtful, well-researched blog content.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

You will be responsible for creating original blog articles that resonate with parents and caregivers, focusing on educational topics that support student success and family involvement. You’ll be given headline topics and themes, but you will be expected to take full ownership of research, writing, and editing each article.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Write one to two original blog articles per month (600–1,200 words each) tailored to a parent audience

CREATE CONTENT AROUND TOPICS SUCH AS:

Educational trends in K–12

Learning differences and support strategies

Study skills and executive functioning

Standardized testing, curriculum changes, and academic milestones

How to support learning at home

Parent involvement in education

1. Take headline prompts provided and independently develop full content

2. Conduct research using credible sources (studies, articles, interviews, etc.)

3. Ensure tone is parent-friendly, professional, informative, and aligned with brand voice

4. Incorporate SEO best practices where relevant (we can provide guidance)

5. Meet established deadlines and respond to edits in a timely manner
