Business Applications Developer - Hybrid
GEICO is a well-known insurance company that values innovation and customer service. They are seeking a highly motivated Business Applications Developer to design and develop data solutions that support business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust data structures, reports, and visualizations that support critical analysis and business decisions
- Help create a modern data platform that will enable State Management to develop, deploy, and monitor changes to products and processes faster than ever before
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative field of study (Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant major)
- 1 year of relevant work experience (SQL developer and data visualization)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must live within commutable distance from our Chevy Chase, MD office and work a hybrid schedule, including working from the office at least three days per week
- Graduate degree in quantitative field of study
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience (SQL developer and data visualization)
- Experience with Snowflake
- Experience with dbt and/or Data Vault
- Experience with SAS, Python, R, Javascript, or similar languages
- Experience profiling and optimizing database queries
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI reporting and dashboarding
- Experience using DAX functions and Power Query
