Business Development Representative
Covideo is a leading video messaging SaaS company focused on helping dealerships improve communication through personalized video. As a Business Development Representative, you will perform outbound cold calling to automotive dealerships, generate sales appointments, and contribute to the sales pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Primary focus on outbound cold calling to target accounts, specifically automotive dealerships, to initiate conversations and build rapport
- Book and qualify high-quality, product-demonstration appointments for Account Executives, ensuring a high 'show rate' is maintained
- Execute a high-volume, multi-channel outreach cadence (phone, email, video) with a strong emphasis on consistent, daily phone activity
- Proactively research and qualify prospects within target accounts to understand their business challenges and tailor the Covideo value proposition
- Leverage and meticulously update Salesforce to manage prospecting activities, log interactions, and accurately forecast the meeting pipeline
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the Covideo platform, competitive landscape, and relevant market trends
- Consistently meet and exceed weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for activity, conversation rates, and monthly qualified appointment quotas
- Actively participate in professional development and coaching sessions to continuously refine outbound selling skills and maximize team success
- Report weekly on personal performance metrics to internal stakeholders
Skills
- 1+ year of experience in a high-volume outbound calling, sales, or lead generation environment is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to professionally and effectively conduct high-volume cold calls with a demonstrated low fear of rejection
- Exceptional verbal communication skills and a strong, professional phone presence are mandatory
- Highly organized and disciplined, with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to manage time effectively to meet strict daily and weekly KPIs
- Competitive, self-motivated, and coachable, driven by hitting and exceeding defined sales targets and quotas
- Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and the ability to maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities
