Business Development Representative
Job Summary
The Business Development Representative reports to the Business Development Manager and will assist in identifying and securing new clients, as well as maintaining and developing relationships with current customers. They will work closely with field Account Executives and technical resources to surface, respond to and close new business. The ideal candidate has experience with B2B sales driven organizations with a track record of success and is self-starter with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Why This Role Matters:
CData operates in a highly technical, competitive market, delivering data connectivity and integration solutions to organizations building and scaling AI, BI, and enterprise data pipelines. While the product's value is clear to technical buyers, reaching and qualifying the right prospects at scale requires dedicated effort before an Account Executive ever enters the conversation.

Given CData's growth across its platform offerings (connectivity drivers, data integration, and Connect AI), the ability to generate and validate pipeline efficiently is critical. BDRs directly support revenue goals by keeping the sales motion moving and ensuring no qualified lead falls through the cracks. In short, the BDR role is the engine that feeds CData's direct sales team, translating marketing activity into real pipeline and giving Account Executives the qualified conversations they need to close business.
