At BJAK, we are building Southeast Asia’s leading digital financial platform - fast. Our mission is to simplify access to insurance and financial services for millions, and we’re moving at startup speed to get there. As Chief of Staff to the CEO, you’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founder to turn vision into execution, and execution into results.

This is not a coordinator role. It’s a high-trust, high-responsibility position for someone who thrives in chaos, owns outcomes end-to-end, and shows up every day ready to push harder. Own cross-functional problems and fix them like the company’s future depends on it - because you’re personally invested in seeing it succeed.

• Translate the CEO’s vision into clear, actionable priorities across the company

  Accelerate strategic execution and ensure consistent follow-through across teams

  Operate as a central hub of communication, planning, and coordination for leadership

  Solve high-impact problems with a bias for speed, structure, and accountability

  Help scale the company by building systems and momentum in a fast-moving environment

i) Strategic Planning and Execution

Partner with the CEO to define, track, and drive progress on strategic priorities, OKRs, and company-wide initiatives

Ensure timely execution and alignment of cross-functional projects

Identify operational gaps or inefficiencies and coordinate solutions that enable scale

ii) Executive Enablement

Prepare briefings, analysis, and recommendations to support decision-making at the executive level

Optimise the CEO’s time by managing priorities, scheduling, and internal/external communication

Draft and refine clear, professional communication materials for internal teams, board members, and investors

iii) Cross-functional Leadership Support

Facilitate leadership meetings, off-sites, and decision forums - including agenda setting, documentation, and action tracking

Serve as a key liaison across departments to ensure strategic alignment and clarity

Partner closely with department heads to surface issues, unblock progress, and maintain execution momentum

iii) Project Ownership

Lead cross-functional, high-priority projects that do not have a natural owner

Support early-stage strategic initiatives through planning, coordination, and execution

Build and implement systems and processes that introduce structure without slowing down the pace

• 5+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, business operations, or high-growth startups.

  Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with minimal direction.

  Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  Experience working directly with C-level executives and handling high-stakes work.

  Maturity, discretion, and sound judgment - especially when navigating sensitive or high-pressure situations.

  Bonus: Background in fintech, digital platforms, or founder-led companies.

  Based in Malaysia and able to work from our HQ in Petaling Jaya as needed.
