Lightmatter is a photonic computer company leading the revolution in AI data center infrastructure. They are seeking an Intern for their Software team to contribute to embedded software development and support system-level testing and validation.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to production embedded software and firmware codebases
  • Enhance firmware testing and integration framework development for embedded projects
  • Incorporate development kit hardware test workflows into the software review and approval process
  • Write and debug integration tests for embedded systems
  • Collaborate with hardware and verification teams to support system-level testing and validation

Skills

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field)
  • Familiarity with software design concepts and working experience with embedded Linux
  • Knowledge of data pipeline and data reporting / monitoring frameworks
  • Proficiency with GitHub and CI tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Programming experience in Python and/or C/C++
  • Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
