Co-op May 2026 - Engineering Infrastructure Developer - 12-Months
General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada develops innovative products and solutions that enhance security and operational advantage. They are seeking a co-op student to join their team to help develop and deploy infrastructure and engineering applications, while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining virtual environments to host our solutions and support the team
- Deployment of applications and services, including integrating them together
- Updating and expanding applications to provide users with new features or improved processes
- Writing scripts or tools, automating tasks such as setup, provisioning, environment monitoring, data collection, and reporting to name a few
- Evaluating new tools and technologies to improve the way we work
- Developing, streamlining, and communicating processes and best practices
Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Engineering or Computer Science
- Experience working with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience working with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Fundamental understanding of Server and Desktop Operating systems
- Love working in a team environment, collaborating, and sharing your knowledge
- Ability to analyze complex issues, develop and recommend options, and implement solutions
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed
- Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance
- Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations
- You must be eligible to work in Canada
- Experience working in a git environment with a modern IDE or directly on the command-line
- Experience working with C#, ASP.NET, and Angular
- Practice working with Linux and/or Windows operating systems
- Any knowledge of VM environments or containerization tools like Docker
