Collections Specialist – Virtual Assistant
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM CST
Includes 1-hour lunch break (8-hour shift)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Virtual Assistant to support the Collections Department. In this role, you will assist with customer follow-ups, payment reminders, and general collections support while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach in all client interactions.
This position is ideal for someone with prior collections experience who is comfortable communicating with customers in a clear and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Collections Department with day-to-day administrative and customer communication tasks
Contact customers regarding outstanding balances and payment follow-ups
Provide clear and professional communication regarding billing and collections matters
Document customer interactions and update payment status accurately
Respond to customer inquiries related to invoices, payments, and service charges
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate collections processes
Requirements
Prior experience in collections or a related customer-facing financial support role
Strong customer service experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to handle sensitive payment conversations professionally and confidently
Familiarity with service-based industries (e.g., restoration, cleaning, water/flood damage, or property repairs) is an advantage
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
