Job Description

Prep Academy Tutors of Southern Maryland is hiring qualified, reliable tutors to support college students near Howard University.

We are looking for subject-matter experts who can help students succeed in challenging, high-demand courses. This is a great opportunity for educators, graduate students, and professionals who enjoy teaching and mentoring.

Subjects Needed

College Algebra & Calculus
General Chemistry (Lecture & Lab)
Biology (Introductory & Pre-Med)
Physics

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring (in-person or online)
Simplify complex concepts and improve student understanding
Help students prepare for exams and complete assignments
Maintain professionalism and punctuality

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred)
Strong knowledge in at least one listed subject
Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred
Excellent communication skills
Reliable transportation (for in-person sessions)
