Community & Developer Ops Coordinator

Full-time

About the Role
We're hiring a sharp, self-directed Community & Developer Ops Coordinator to join our small but ambitious team supporting one of the most active developer communities in the AI and frontier tech space. This isn't a "pick one lane" role — you'll be expected to flex across talent operations, developer communications, and community building, the same way the rest of the team does. If you take real pride in your work, think before you act, communicate clearly, and get genuinely excited about building relationships with senior engineers around the world, you'll thrive here.

If you need heavy structure or a single narrow scope, this isn't the role for you. Yes, this is a lot of scope. We're transparent about that upfront because we'd rather you opt in with eyes open.

What makes it work is the team — we're small, efficient, and we genuinely like each other. We share context generously, jump in when someone's drowning, and celebrate wins together. You won't be doing this alone.

What You'll Do
Talent & Recruiting Operations (40%)
Support active recruiting projects for major AI/RLHF clients — these come in fast and often need rapid turnaround

Help manage G2i pipeline, inbound applications, sourcing, and testing coordination

Conduct intro and screening meetings with developers when necessary

Run candidate-facing campaigns: onboarding, ID checks, contract signing, deactivations, reactivations

Assist with developer onboarding for new contracts and project ramp-ups

Help build and maintain talent pools and shortlists for recurring client needs

Communications & Developer Support (30%)
Manage multi-channel communications across Slack, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and email with accuracy and appropriate responsiveness

Run shared inboxes — triaging, drafting replies, escalating thoughtfully

Run campaigns via outreach tools to several members at a time — Happy Hour invites, sign-up campaigns, project-specific or action-specific outreach

Community, Events & Content (20%)
Help plan, promote, host, and follow up on community events: AMAs, Happy Hours, developer sessions, hackathons

Build and maintain a speaker pipeline — proactively sourcing thought leaders for AMAs

Welcome new Slack members and keep community channels warm and responsive

Support and come up with more community initiatives

Operations & Documentation (10%)
Maintain documentation, FAQs, and shared resources with strong attention to detail

Update Canva assets and templates

Create and refine processes that prevent errors and improve efficiency

Support special projects end-to-end — we trust you to own and finish things

What We're Looking For
The non-negotiables
Critical thinker — You think through implications, anticipate problems, and ask clarifying questions before acting on something unclear

Intellectual humility — You admit when you're unsure, ask for help, and accept feedback graciously rather than defensively

Reliable and detail-oriented — You verify information independently rather than making assumptions, and you double-check outbound communications before sending

Excellent written communication in English — Clear, professional, warm writing that adapts to different audiences (developers, clients, candidates, internal team)

Personable and confident on camera — You're energized (not intimidated) by hosting Happy Hours, AMAs, and 15-min intro calls with technical professionals around the world

Works smart with AI tools — You proactively use AI and automation to improve quality and speed, not just work harder

Comfortable with rapid context switching — Priorities shift here. Some days are talent-ops crunch, others are community-heavy

Strong team collaborator — You share context generously, celebrate wins, and support teammates through challenging weeks

Essential skills
Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight

Strong project management and organizational capabilities — comfortable juggling many active workstreams at once

Quick learner who masters new tools fast

Excellent judgment about when to act independently vs. when to consult

Holds quality standards even when volume is high

Nice to haves
Experience in recruiting operations, talent coordination, or technical sourcing

Background in developer communities, technical ecosystems, or AI/ML adjacent work

Familiarity with Ashby, HireFlix, or similar ATS/interview platforms

Track record of running successful virtual events (AMAs, hackathons, panels)

Content creation experience (LinkedIn, video highlights, written recaps)

Location & Hours
Fully remote

Must be able to work Pacific Time hours (we already have ET and CET coverage and need PT)

Based in the Americas; preferred for time zone overlap

Flexible schedule within those parameters

How to Apply & Hiring Process
Apply through our Ashby application form

Selected candidates → Asynchronous HireFlix interview

Top candidates → Interview with Director of Community & Developer Operations

Final candidates → Interview with Head of Talent
