Consultative Pharmacy Technician, Level 3
Job Description:
• Accurately performs prescription data entry in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Build and maintain accurate medication profiles and MARs (Medication Administration Records) for IPU patients.
• Understand and apply IPU model variations and profiling requirements for different hospice partners.
• Review and process faxed medication orders independently, ensuring timely follow-up where needed.
• Contact hospices to obtain or clarify prescription information and document interactions thoroughly
Requirements:
• Minimum of one (1) year pharmacy technician data entry experience (2+ years preferred)
• Strong knowledge of brand and generic drug names
• Familiarity with formulary systems and medication safety protocols
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a high-volume setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and professional integrity
• Ability to work independently and collaborate virtually with a dispersed team
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including rotating weekends and holidays
• Proficiency with Windows-based applications and Microsoft Office Suite
• Accurate and efficient typing/data entry skills
• Experience using pharmacy systems such as DocuWare and Infinity
• Comfort with troubleshooting remote systems and navigating multiple platforms simultaneously
