We are growing our team and looking to bring on a Contracts Manager who understands the real-world impact of getting the details right.
This role is ideal for someone who is fluent in FAR/DFARS, experienced in supporting complex government contracts and proposals, and motivated to contribute to a team where contracts are strategic and mission-critical, not just administrative. What You’ll Do
As a Contracts Manager at System High, you will manage a portfolio of U.S. government contracts from pre-award to closeout. You will:
Lead the review, negotiation, and management of government and commercial contracts, subcontracts, and modifications (FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQs)
Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations while advising internal stakeholders on contractual risk and mitigation
Partner with Business Development to support proposal development, including pricing strategy, Model Contract Volumes, OCI, NDAs, and Teaming Agreements
Maintain complete, audit-ready contract files and ensure all contract deliverables are met
Support internal coordination across Security, Finance, Program Management, and Legal to align contract terms with execution needs
Oversee contract administration activities including funding tracking, deliverables, and closeouts
What You’ll Accomplish in Your First Six Months
Take ownership of a portfolio of active DoD and IC contracts, leading reviews, any active negotiations, managing execution risks and success from a contracts lens and ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS
Partner cross-functionally with BD, Finance, Security, and PMs to support proposals, streamline processes, and improve contract execution
Identify and implement at least one improvement to a contract management process to increase efficiency or reduce risk
Qualifications
Must Haves:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in government contract management with focus on managing prime contracts
Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and applicable agency supplements
Experience supporting a variety of contract types including FFP, Cost Plus with varying Incentive Fee structures (AF, FF, IF), T&M, and IDIQs
Demonstrated success in proposal development, contract negotiation and advising internal teams
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across departments along with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Nice to Haves:
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
Experience supporting classified programs or cleared environments
Proposal writing
Prior experience working with contract management systems or compliance tools
Experience with contract audits and closeouts (DCAA, DCMA)
Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Government, or a related field
