Controls Engineer (JOB ID 2057)

OneSparQ is looking for a Controls Engineer for a distribution solutions client in Atlanta, GA. Responsibilities • Verify the design, functionality, and accuracy of automated sortation system controls. • Diagnose and correct I/O issues using PLC and HMI data feedback. • Support the implementation, enhancement, and retrofit of control systems. • Configure and troubleshoot VFDs, sensors, and other automation components. • Collaborate closely with senior engineers on system design and optimization. • Utilize diagnostic tools such as ladder logic, multimeters, and communication analyzers. • Travel up to 75% to customer sites nationwide to provide technical support and commissioning services. Required Skills • 7+ years experience as a controls engineer commissioning and troubleshooting equipment in the material handling, food & beverage, or automotive industry • PLC Programming experience (Rockwell) • HMI Programming experience (Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View) • Experience with Armor Powerflex Drives • Bachelors degree in Engineering #priority Pay $45.00 - $75.00 per hour Work Location Remote
