Creative Strategist – Social Media & Ad Creative (Long-term / Full-Time) - Contract to Hire
Duties and Responsibilities:
Research & Angle Discovery: Constantly spy on competitors, study TikTok/Reels trends, and mine customer reviews to find emotional hooks and angles that resonate with our target audience.
Creative Briefing: Write crystal-clear, step-by-step creative briefs for video editors and graphic designers (including visual direction, text overlays, and exact script hooks).
Performance Analysis: Review ad account data (Hook rates, Hold rates, CTR, CPA) to figure out which creatives are winning, which are failing, and why.
Iterate & Optimize: Take a winning ad and script 5 new variations of the first 3 seconds (the hook) to fatigue-proof our creative pipeline.
Content Calendar Mapping: Collaborate with the marketing team to align creative drops with our overall promotional calendar.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience: At least 2+ years of experience working as a Creative Strategist, Direct-Response Copywriter, or Content Lead for an e-commerce, agency, or digital product brand.
Direct-Response Knowledge: You understand the anatomy of a high-converting video ad (Hook, Problem, Solution, Social Proof, CTA).
Data Literacy: You aren’t afraid of numbers. You know how to read basic ad metrics (ROAS, CTR, Thumb-stop rate) and use them to make creative decisions.
Communication: Exceptional written and spoken English. Your creative briefs must be so clear that a video editor knows exactly what to do without guessing.
Tools: Familiarity with tools like Notion/Asana (for project management), Foreplay/Motion (for creative spying/analytics is a huge plus), and Slack.
