Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Care Representative to join our team. As a Customer Care Representative, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our internal and external customers, providing solutions to moderately complex insurance-related issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist internal and external customers with moderately complex insurance-related issues, providing feasible solutions within compliance and legal requirements.
  • Deliver exceptional service while proactively seeking solutions, communicating with customers via multiple channels, and navigating multiple systems and platforms.
  • Evaluate and interpret policy information within prescribed authority limits, making recommendations or decisions that meet customer needs.
  • Document customer interactions and outcomes thoroughly in our system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Escalate unresolved issues requiring advanced support for further resolution, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Build knowledge and acumen through self-directed learning, staying informed about underwriting and policy guidelines, compliance, and legal requirements.
  • Contribute to maintaining department knowledge resources, ensuring they remain current and relevant.
  • Actively listen to customer concerns to identify trends or patterns, recognizing opportunities for process improvement and making recommendations to leadership.
  • Partner with various departments, including Policy Support, Claims, and Underwriting, to respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues.
  • May work with external vendors to further address customer needs, ensuring seamless and effective resolution.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in insurance or a related field preferred, with experience providing customer support in a high-volume, complex environment highly valued.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, with a strong ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent listening and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high degree of professionalism and flexibility.
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously and troubleshoot basic issues with equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service.
  • Familiarity with insurance industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working in a hybrid or remote work environment, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
