**Responsibilities**

As a Customer Service Guide (Human Services Specialist 1) at arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families seeking services. Your key responsibilities will include:

* Providing customer service and support to individuals and families seeking services, including food benefits, cash assistance, childcare assistance, and more.
* Serving as the first point of contact for customers, either in-person, by phone, or through our online applicant portal.
* Offering information and referrals to community resources, and assisting with case status and other inquiries.
* Working collaboratively with program staff to provide a safety net and promote family stability.
* Contributing to a trauma-informed and culturally responsive work environment that values diversity and inclusivity.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

* Two years of experience in customer service or a related field, with a high volume of paperwork and people contact.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations.
* Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft programs, web browsers, and multiline telephone systems.
* Ability to adapt communication style to explain complex information to diverse audiences.
* Experience with multiple systems and databases, with the ability to elicit information from applicants and recipients.
