Job Summary

This role requires advanced knowledge of customs brokerage operations, including entry writing, classification, and regulatory compliance. As a Customs Brokerage Representative III, you'll be responsible for preparing customs entries, coordinating freight delivery, and communicating with clients and internal stakeholders. This position demands strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and compliant customs entries, including classification and tariff schedules (HTS)
• Interface with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers to facilitate freight delivery
• Coordinate clearance processes, including documentation and regulatory compliance
• Communicate documentation discrepancies to clients and internal stakeholders
• Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues
• Scan entries into the imaging system, meeting allotted and sensitive time requirements
• Prepare reports, presentations, and analysis using various software packages and databases
• Establish and maintain client relationships, providing exceptional customer service
• Work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis, as required by the operation and account needs

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in customs brokerage or a related field
• Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including data entry and reporting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Accurate and rapid data entry skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Customs Broker License
• Advanced knowledge of customs regulations and compliance
• Experience with automated brokerage systems and software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
