Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Building:

 

Data Platform & Pipeline Engineering

Design and maintain scalable data pipelines for structured (CSV) data ingestion

Build and optimize pipelines for data lakes and warehouses (Azure Data Lake, Synapse)

Ensure reliable, high-volume data processing

Platform Integration & API Data Flows

Develop and maintain REST API integrations and system connectors

Integrate with third-party systems (e.g., HMIS, partner platforms)

Enable seamless data flow across platforms and reporting tools

Data Quality, Governance & Compliance

Implement data validation, integrity, and deduplication processes

Build systems aligned with “single source of truth” principles

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and regulatory requirements

Collaboration & Engineering Excellence

Work closely with engineers to align data & application architecture

Contribute to Agile workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews

Help shape cloud and data architecture decisions

Qualifications

What You Bring

Must-Have:

4+ years in Data Engineering / Backend Data Systems

Strong experience with:

SQL Server & relational databases

Azure Data Stack (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory)

ETL/ELT pipeline development

Experience with APIs, distributed systems, and data platforms

Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools

Solid understanding of Agile, CI/CD, version control

 

Nice to Have

Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or government systems

Exposure to Microsoft Fabric

Background in compliance-heavy environments (HUD, Medicaid, etc.)
