Role: Catalog / Data Governance Engineer with Data. World

Location: New York, NY (Onsite)

Job Decription:
? Bachelor's degree in Computer science or equivalent, with minimum 12+Years of relevant experience.
? Solid understanding of data governance principles and technical experience to effectively design, implement, and maintain a data catalog system.

Hands-on experience standing and setting up data. World
? Experience setting up data.

World with various connecters - redshift, AWS glue, MSK, service now and more
? Ability to harvest metadata from all data assets across different technology platforms (e.g. AWS lake formation, EMR, S3, Redshift, Auora PostgreSQL, etc.) and integrating metadata into the data catalog.
?

Extending the underlying metamodel (of data.world) and data.world ui/form(s)/features
? UI configuration & customization
? Metadata setup and capturing
?

Experience creating and maintaining an inventory of data assets so that data consumers can find and understand data
? Data classification (preferably leveraging macie and glue)
? Setting up process for requesting access, identity and access management, basic data lineage, etc.
?

AWS Glue catalog
? AWS Glue crawler
? AWS Lake formation
?
