Database Administrator
The California Franchise Tax Board is a diverse group of experts delivering enterprise class products and services. They are seeking a SQL Database Administrator to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and document SQL Database Management systems software while providing critical support for mission systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and document SQL Database Management systems software
- Work independently and as part of a core group of Systems Programmers/Specialists providing 24x7x365 support on mission critical systems software
Skills
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Administration
- Experience in Database Administration on Windows environment
- Experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell, C#, Java, JavaScript, BASH, Perl, or Python etc
- Experience with Performance Tuning, Troubleshooting, Installing, and Configuration of Databases
- Experience with Database Clusters, Database Migrations, Database Backup, Restore and Disaster Recovery
- Experience with any other RDBMS Software such as MySQL, Sybase, Db2, Oracle, etc
- Experience in Database Administration on Linux or Unix environments
- Experience in Cloud Computing Technologies such as Azure, AWS, GCP
- Experience in Azure DevOps Services
- Experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC), and Project Management Principles
