eCommerce is a key digital enabler to Caterpillar's aftermarket parts and services growth strategy. Delivering on the Caterpillar brand promise of premium, high-quality solutions is an important element in accelerating the development and deployment of Caterpillar's expanded capabilities in eCommerce.

The Digital Payments Strategy Manager works as a member of the eCommerce Product Management Team to define our Payments strategy which spans multiple areas including customer experience, payment methods (and related technology), compliance, and industry standards. This role is heavily involved in defining the overall Payments strategy, product roadmap including product enhancement, support, testing, and release across our web and mobile app solutions.



Summarized Accountability



Own the eCommerce Payment strategy (web and mobile app) and vision for Caterpillar



Leverage industry expertise and partner with regional Teams and dealer network to identify the most relevant payment methods for customers that will contribute to the growth of Caterpillar's Aftermarket business



Simplify existing Payments ecosystem and improve speed to market for introducing new payment methods



Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but not limited to:



Establish and lead product roadmap for eCommerce payment experience including prioritization of payment initiatives



Partner and collaborate across multiple stakeholders to scope, influence, and drive implementation of new payment ideas and opportunities



Benchmark existing payments experience against competitors and industry trends to identify, assess, and develop opportunities drive growth and customer satisfaction



Identify the optimal payment methods and technology approach for our global footprint to meet the needs of customers in our local markets



Determine the right payment partners in our critical markets and lead request for proposal processes in collaboration with Vendor Management



Lead the implementation of new payment methods including clear articulation of the “why” and the expected value realization



Rationalizing existing eCommerce payments framework with simplification and speed as guiding principles



Design and monitor KPIs and reporting that capture deep insights into payments performance and adoption



Responsible for creating, maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog according to business value



Work closely with Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, UI/UX, and development team to track delivery, coordinate testing and validation, and ensure maximum value of any completed initiative



Participate in Sprint Planning meetings, Reveals and Retrospectives



Be a champion for the agile community and help to further the community within the organization



BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:



Required Qualifications



Four year Bachelor's degree preferably in computer science, information systems, marketing, communications, engineering or related field



Strong understanding of the end-to-end payments ecosystem, including payment methods - card and wallet based payment mechanisms, card networks and rules, acquiring and processing, and the regulatory environment



2+ years' experience as a product manager



4+ years' experience in payment related role



2+ years of experience with Agile methodology



Top candidates will also possess these Qualifications



Experience managing projects using Agile software tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps, JIRA, Aha



Product Owner certification (CSPO from Scrum Alliance)



Experience working with onshore/offshore team model



Demonstrated ability to empower teams



Strong accountability, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, and communication skills



Knowledge of SDLC and demonstrated experience employing SDLC in aspects of the project management process



Thorough working knowledge of industry compliance standards including PCI, 3DS, PSD



Exposure to and experience working with multiple external partners in the payments supply chain



Experience with web and mobile platforms



Superb communication, presentation, storytelling, interpersonal and analytical skills



Demonstrated ability to communicate appropriately to ensure a team's success



Strong accountability planning/organization, and teamwork



Highly developed interpersonal skills to deal with sensitive, emotional or potentially controversial situations.



Excellent oral and written communication skills



The preferred location is Peoria, IL, Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX, but remote work within the United States is available for the right candidate.

Compensation & Benefits:



Base salary for this role ranges from $138,498 to $204,732. Actual salary will be based on experience. The total rewards package, beyond base salary includes:
