The Director of Accounting Solutions and Domain Expertise is responsible for building and leading a team of accounting professionals with specialized expertise in Intuit tools and accounting processes. This role partners closely with Learning & Development, Operations, and Client Delivery teams to design, prepare, and enable high-quality accounting support services. The leader ensures the team possesses the necessary accounting knowledge, operational readiness, and technical proficiency to support clients effectively while maintaining compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and industry best practices.

The position combines accounting expertise, operational design, and talent development to support scalable and optimized service delivery. The Account Director should understand the customer thoroughly, their strategy, their organization, company culture, their industry vertical, customer journey, pain points and needs, especially the not-so-obvious ones, and proactively offer win-win solutions to address and exceed the needs of the client. Focus is on nurturing and growing existing client relationships, emphasizing client retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth through ongoing account management. 

Job Responsibilities

 

Domain Leadership

Serve as the accounting subject matter expert for services involving Intuit tools (e.g., QuickBooks ecosystem) and accounting operations

Define best practices for accounting processes including AP, AR, general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting

Provide accounting guidance to delivery teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and standard accounting principles

Team Development & Capability Building

Recruit, develop, and lead a team of accounting specialists fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement

Ensure team members have the technical accounting knowledge and platform expertise required to support client operations

Develop capability frameworks and career pathways for accounting specialists

Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and identifying training and development needs for team members

Drive talent development and succession planning initiatives to strengthen team capabilities

Learning & Training Partnership

Partner with Learning & Development teams to design accounting-specific training programs

Support the creation of training materials, certification programs, and operational playbooks for Intuit tools and accounting processes

Ensure consistent knowledge transfer and ongoing skill development.

Operational Design & Service Delivery

Collaborate with Operations and Delivery leaders to design scalable accounting support solutions

Optimize workflows and operational processes to improve service efficiency and quality

Support implementation of tools and automation to enhance accounting service delivery

Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and performance standards across all accounts

Manage communications between clients and internal teams and resolving key client issues and escalations

Client and Stakeholder Collaboration

Work with account management and client leadership teams to understand client accounting needs

Provide subject matter expertise to support solution design and service implementation

Build trusted relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service quality, and knowledge management

Implement process improvements and automation in accounting workflows where possible.

General

Understand and adhere to policies, guidelines and procedures pertaining to ethics and compliance, and to the protection of Information Assets, integrity of customer transactions, proper and ethical utilization of access privileges and resources provided to perform the role

Fully comply with all provisions of the Company Code of Conduct, Acceptable Use Policy and Confidentiality Agreement

Protect company assets, systems, proprietary and confidential information in accordance with Foundever Associate Agreement

Proactively report actual or suspected ethics and compliance violations, vulnerabilities, security incidents and breaches in the confidentiality, integrity or availability of Information assets as per the Company’s policy

Process personal data, client data and employer business specific data in accordance with customer contracts, company guidelines and jurisdictional requirements

Skills and Qualifications

 

Experience

6+ years of accounting or finance operations experience

Experience with Intuit tools (QuickBooks ecosystem preferred)

Experience leading accounting teams or finance operations teams

Experience working in consulting, outsourcing, shared services, or client delivery environments preferred

Experience partnering with training or enablement teams to develop learning content

Proven leadership experience preferred, with the ability to grow into and potentially lead larger accounting operations over

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

CPA or equivalent accounting certification preferred
