Overview

We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused leader to join our Data Center Operations team in a Central Operations role. This individual will serve as the bridge between operational coordination, systems governance, and program management across our data center portfolio.

This role is responsible for overseeing a core team that owns the operational systems, driving standardization, and enabling consistent, reliable and high-quality execution across operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in Data Center mission-critical environments and a passion for building scalable programs that improve reliability, efficiency, and operational visibility.

 

Key Responsibilities

Centralized Operations Leadership

Serve as the central point of coordination for data center operations programs across all sites

Develop strategies to improve productivity, measuring performance and operational procedures

Partner with Facilities, IT, and Physical Security teams to ensure alignment, consistency, and execution of operational priorities

Lead standardization of processes, tools, and reporting across the portfolio

Provide direction, strategy and leadership to the Central Operations team

Champions a culture of knowledge sharing, ensuring best practices and lessons learned are disseminated across all sites

Use change management and communication strategies to drive adoption of new processes, systems, tools and reporting

 

Incident Management

Establish and govern standards for escalation, crisis management, root cause analysis, and continuous process improvement.

Supports quality audits in conjunction with operations, compliance, security and IT to manage site risk

Oversee the centralized command center for all DCs

 

Asset Management

Develop and maintain Edged Asset naming convention & labeling governance.

Responsible for quality assurance for asset meta data and equipment turn over from construction.

Oversee the Asset Management program including planning & scheduling, vendor management, asset tracking and warranty program.

Spare parts inventory management, requiring coordination with OEM, suppliers and establishing RSPL (Recommended Spare Parts List) for the data centers.

 

Process Standardization & Documentation

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and operational frameworks.

Ensure consistency in execution of maintenance, security, and IT operational processes.

Establish audit procedures to manage compliance and governance

Leverage SharePoint or similar platforms to maintain centralized, controlled documentation.

 

Data, Reporting & Insights

Support enterprise strategy for performance monitoring across all data centers, aligning KPIs and organizational objectives utilizing Power BI to drive efficiency, uptime, and customer satisfaction.

Develop and maintain reporting frameworks that provide visibility into key operational metrics (e.g., uptime, MTTR, MTBF, work order completion).

Analyze performance data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.

Skills & Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or related field

12+ years of experience in data center operations, mission-critical environments

Experience managing or administering CMMS and operational systems

Strong understanding of facility maintenance, critical infrastructure, incident management and uptime requirements

Experience in data center or colocation environments

Deep expertise with platforms such as SharePoint, Maximo, eMaint or similar systems

Experience with EHS systems and regulatory compliance

Knowledge of operational excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)

Experience building dashboards and analytics (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

 

Leadership & Competencies

Strong systems thinker with attention to detail and scalability

Proven ability to operate both strategically and tactically

Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills

Data-driven decision-maker with strong analytical capabilities

Effective communicator with experience presenting to senior leadership
