Position Overview

We are seeking a Director of Gateway Products to lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of gateway solutions within a complex telecommunications environment. This role is responsible for transforming gateway systems into standardized, scalable, and globally deployable products with clearly defined configurations and performance expectations.

The Director will ensure that gateway offerings are designed for repeatability, operational efficiency, and seamless integration into broader network architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and manage gateway product offerings, including standardized configurations and scalable product tiers

Develop and maintain a product roadmap aligned with operational scalability and service delivery objectives

Establish and oversee acceptance criteria, testing standards, and validation processes for gateway deployments

Build and implement automated testing and validation workflows to improve efficiency and consistency

Own and maintain standardized configurations to ensure compatibility across diverse deployment environments

Ensure gateway solutions align with overall network architecture and integration requirements

Define deployment procedures, upgrade paths, and lifecycle management processes

Enable operational teams with clear guidance for deployment, maintenance, and support

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and delivery teams to ensure product readiness

Drive continuous improvement in product design, scalability, and operational performance

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field

Master’s degree in Engineering Management or an advanced technical discipline preferred

Experience:

Minimum of 15+ years of experience in telecommunications, satellite communications, wireless networks, or similar technical domains

At least 5+ years managing highly technical teams or product-focused engineering organizations

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing product lifecycles for complex hardware/software systems

Strong understanding of network infrastructure and system integration principles

Experience developing standardized, scalable product offerings in technical environments

Familiarity with acceptance testing, automation, and deployment strategies

Proven ability to drive productization of previously customized solutions

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Meticulous attention to detail to ensure consistency and quality across product offerings

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Technology Stack:

Telecommunications systems including access networks and core infrastructure

Knowledge of network architecture, system integration, and deployment models

Experience with automated testing tools and validation frameworks

Familiarity with hardware/software integration and lifecycle management tools

Systems used for monitoring, diagnostics, and performance optimization

General understanding of distributed infrastructure and scalable systems

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods

Ability to interface with hardware systems or lab environments when required

Capability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings

Will require extensive travel based on business needs
