About Sola Kids Dental

Sola Kids Dental is on a mission to be the leading pediatric Medicaid dental group in the Western US. We believe kids and families in underserved communities deserve quality care. And that starts with building beautiful offices. We have four locations today, and we have the capital and operations team in place to grow.

We’ll be building 5+ new locations annually, starting in Phoenix and Denver and expanding across the Western U.S.

The Role

We're hiring our first Director of Real Estate & Construction — and if you're the right person, here's why you'll love it:

Ownership: You are the real estate function. Site selection, lease negotiations, TI buildouts from 3,500 to 10,000 sq ft, permitting, GC management — all yours. You report directly to the CEO, and decisions get made fast. We don’t have bureaucracy.

Mission: Every location we open is a statement: that kids in underserved communities deserve a dental experience that where they feel valued.

Build Something Beautiful: Design is not an afterthought. Building stunning offices in communities that don't expect it is the mission. You'll have strong opinions about what makes a great space, and we'll want to hear them.

Growth: We're growing 30%+ per year and building toward being the leading Medicaid dental group in the Western U.S.

What You'll Own

Site selection and market analysis across key Western U.S. markets

Lease negotiations (we have broker and lawyer relationships, but you'll lead them)

Managing TI buildouts of 3,500 to 10,000 sq ft from contract to certificate of occupancy

TI bidding and GC management across multiple concurrent projects

Permitting and municipal approvals

Budget ownership for every project

Key aesthetic decisions

Holding contractors accountable — on scope, on budget, on deadline

What We're Looking For

5+ years in commercial real estate, development, or construction management

Hands-on experience managing tenant improvements or ground-up retail/consumer builds

Comfort navigating permitting processes

An eye for great design

Detail orientation that borders on obsessive

An ownership mentality

Someone who's great to work with but won't let a GC slide on a deadline

Bonus Points

Medical or dental real estate experience

Leasing experience on the tenant or landlord side

Vertical development, land use, and entitlement experience a plus

Experience scaling a multi-unit consumer brand

Spanish fluency

MBA

Compensation

$100,000 – $150,000 base, commensurate with experience.

Location

Remote, Western U.S. Must be located near a major airport (LA, Phoenix, Denver, Bay Area, etc.) and ready to travel to sites regularly.
