Heartland America is a Catalog and E-Commerce retailer dedicated to delighting customers through exceptional products and service. They are seeking an entry-level E-Commerce Specialist to manage product data accuracy, optimize SEO, and monitor the E-Commerce site health.

Responsibilities

  • Directly create, edit, and maintain product listings within the ecommerce platform, including titles, descriptions, pricing, images, SKUs, attributes, and specifications
  • Own day-to-day product data hygiene by identifying and correcting errors, inconsistencies, and missing information
  • Execute product launches by uploading new SKUs, validating data accuracy, and performing QA checks before products go live
  • Troubleshoot product display issues related to data mapping, templates, or platform logic and escalate when needed
  • Implement on-page SEO best practices for product pages and site content by optimizing product titles, descriptions, metadata, and structured data for search engines in partnership with our agency
  • Conduct routine checks on the site health and performance, monitoring broken links, redirects and indexing issues; coordinate fixes with appropriate teams

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Directly create, edit, and maintain product listings within the ecommerce platform, including titles, descriptions, pricing, images, SKUs, attributes, and specifications

  • Understanding of HTML/CSS for troubleshooting SEO and site issues
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite including Excel proficiency
  • Work onsite 3 days a week, opportunity to work offsite during core hours 2 days a week
  • Flexibility outside regular work hours for occasional site-health checks and troubleshooting as needed
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in E-Commerce, Marketing, or a related field
  • Ability to commute to Chaska, MN 55318
  • Hands-on experience managing an ecommerce site
  • Basic understanding of SEO, and familiarity with E-commerce Platforms such as Miva, Magento, Shopify
  • Familiarity with site performance tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, SearchSpring, PageSpeed, Insights, etc.)
  • Internship/prior exposure to E-Commerce merchandising and SEO
  • Recent college grads encouraged to apply
