Electrical Engineer 2 - Nuclear
Sargent & Lundy is a trusted leader in nuclear engineering, design, and licensing, seeking an Electrical Engineer 2 for their Nuclear Power Group. This role involves collaborating with engineers and designers on electrical systems design, conducting complex calculations, and preparing equipment specifications for nuclear plant projects.

- Receive training and mentorship from experienced engineers in the execution of meaningful project engineering assignments
- Become involved in power distribution designs and the preparation of specifications for the procurement of major electrical power equipment and related installation services
- Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs
Skills
- BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program with a strong academic background in electrical power concepts/power systems analysis
- 1 or more years of experience in the design of electrical engineering systems in a project team environment or a MS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program with a strong academic background in electrical power concepts/power systems analysis
- An understanding of the practical application of electrical engineering and technology including applying systems, principles, techniques, and procedures to a project design
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, drawings, and models
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
- Strong problem solving skills are desired
- Experience performing transient analysis of power systems using software such as ETAP or SKM
