Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate student learning by implementing specific curriculum within the Southeast Island School District
- Establish and develop positive relationships with students, families, staff, and the public
- Communicate effectively with students, families, school staff, and public
- Prepare, maintain, and organize appropriate records, reports, and forms as required
- Utilize instructional technology tools to enhance learning opportunities for students
- Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students
Requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree in appropriate academic field or verifiable training/experience in Alaska Native language/culture or in a vocational/technical field
- Alaska Type A, C, or M Teaching Certificate as appropriate to assignment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding school district related matters, students, families, and staff
- Physical ability to safely, regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
