The Role   

Our Energy Analysts are a vital part of our Analysis team tasked with helping our clients understand the Energy & Water usage of their buildings.    
 
This important role provides a foundation for a suite of Energy & Water management services that Bright Power provides to help our clients achieve substantial reductions in utility costs, carbon emissions and water consumption- all while improving resident comfort. 

Primary Responsibilities   

Manage energy analysis services for multiple clients  

Help clients find, fix, and follow energy and water problems  
Help clients maintain and understand energy and water data in EnergyScoreCards online software for their portfolio  
Meet deadlines, track activities, and manage time in accordance with priorities  

Perform and/or oversee all project activities including planning, research, billing, managing to budgets, generation of deliverables, reporting and presentations to clients and internal stakeholders  
Communicate with the client at multiple levels, maintaining strong relationships with key contacts  

Lead regular check-ins with clients to discuss building performance trends, opportunities, and questions  
Communicate by phone, email, in-person presentations, and written reports  

Local Law 84/133 and Local Law 33/95 compliance reporting for our clients, as well as guidance on Local Law 97  
Interface with other teams at Bright Power to leverage expertise in delivering the service, as applicable, especially:  

Data team  
Technology team  
Engineering teams  

Support other Bright Power services with analysis expertise  
Contribute to growth of the company by making suggestions for improvements 
QualificationsSkills/Qualifications   

Science background, with work in Sustainability or Energy, as well as experience with data analysis.  
Experience in the real estate, energy efficiency or building operations worlds.  
Proficiency in MS Excel (data manipulation and basic formulas)  
Familiarity with SQL.  
Ability to stay organized amid many evolving projects; detail-oriented and methodical with large amounts of data.  
Good written and oral communication skills  
Creative and pro-active problem-solving abilities  

 

Preferred Qualifications  

Experience in client relationship management  
Experience preparing client-facing reports  
Passion about sustainability, climate change mitigation, and/or creating healthier buildings  
Familiarity with energy benchmarking programs and laws  
Familiarity with utility bill data  

 

Salary: $62,500 - $65,000
