Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC), a leading provider of energy consulting services to the federal government, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to support our defense clients in development of innovative resiliency projects. Some travel may be required with this position. This is a hybrid position located in the Washington, D.C area, with the flexibility to work from home while participating in some in-person client and team discussions and/or site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply knowledge of energy markets to develop energy resilience and energy services projects that would increase the resiliency of Marine Corps installations
Build strong relationships with team, client, data analysts, and engineers to understand and recommend system capabilities for shared use during normal operations when a microgrid is not fully utilized and during times of emergency management during grid outages
Research the state-level and regional electricity markets to determine and recommend market opportunities to optimize microgrid components
Complete utility rates & tariffs, cost analysis, breaking down all utilities costs into their components and look for savings opportunities
Conduct analysis and costs/savings/financial portions of project development to achieve best ROI for client on deals with RTOs, ISOs, commercial, institutional, and government third parties, on combined utilization of DERs, renewable energy, battery storage, and microgrids
Recommend a deal structure to utilize a microgrid system during most of the hours of the year when it is underutilized to support mission, or combined use of the system during normal operations, and recommend candidate third parties for such an arrangement

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, economics, finance, math, information technology, or related discipline with 4-6 years of directly related experience
Ability to obtain a Government Common Access Card (CAC)
Experience in power services contracts financial analysis and contract language development
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in engineering, science, management, or related discipline
Experience as an analyst in the energy industry including an understanding of RTOs, ISOs, combined utilization of DERs, renewable energy, battery storage, and microgrids.
Experience in government consulting or supporting government organizations
Familiarity with Marine Corps/DoD energy and water resilience and clean energy requirements, processes, and tools
Knowledge of Marine Corps structure and operation
