Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement adaptive physical education programs that meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to ensure optimal learning outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, therapists, and support staff, to ensure a comprehensive approach to student education and well-being
• Design and implement lesson plans that promote physical activity, health, and wellness, while incorporating social and emotional learning strategies
• Utilize data-driven instruction to inform teaching practices and drive student growth

Essential Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A valid Louisiana teaching certificate with an Adaptive Physical Education endorsement
• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in adaptive physical education or a related field
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will possess:

• A master's degree in adaptive physical education, special education, or a related field

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:
