Job Overview

We are looking for an accomplished Call Center/Customer Service Representative to work remotely and provide top-notch support to our customers. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity with a duration of 6 months or more, offering a competitive pay rate of $16 per hour on W2. As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, but you must be available to work a schedule of 7AM to 7PM PST, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries received by telephone, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), or web-based portal regarding information on programs and services
  • Record customer interactions and transactions, documenting details of inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken
  • Follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve problems to ensure that appropriate changes are made
  • Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation
  • Communicate with supervisor regarding any potential needs or concerns
  • Perform data entry accurately
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required, Associate degree preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of all information
  • Ability to comply with current and updated policies and procedures
  • Ability to interact courteously and effectively with a diverse population, demonstrating cultural competency
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you a more competitive candidate:

  • Previous experience working in a call center or customer service environment
  • Experience with phone etiquette, including inbound and outbound calling
  • Knowledge of government health and human services programs and services
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
