**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our Details and Data Gathering team. As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of sports data on our various platforms. This is a part-time position that requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of sports data on our various platforms, including television broadcasts, websites, and mobile apps
* Work with automated data feeds and manual data entry to guarantee the delivery of accurate, up-to-date, and insightful sports data
* Collaborate with the Details and Data Gathering team to identify and resolve data discrepancies and errors
* Develop and maintain a working knowledge of our data systems and processes
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless data delivery and resolution of issues
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures
* Stay up-to-date with current office policies and procedures
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science)
* Working knowledge of sports teams, players, and rules
* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and systems
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
* Full-time availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
**Preferred Qualifications**
* 1 year of experience in sports or data analysis, preferably in media
* Knowledge of how sports data is used in media and research purposes
* Working knowledge of ESPN products and creations
* Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
* Experience leading or training a team
* Ability to speak and write Spanish
* Experience using social media in a business or news context
**Required Skills**
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in time-sensitive production environments
* Ability to communicate confidently and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to production managers and colleagues
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve issues quickly
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
