About the Actuarial Development Program

The Actuarial Development Program is a comprehensive program designed to develop the next generation of actuarial professionals. The program is designed to provide participants with hands-on experience in actuarial analysis, data analysis, and business acumen. Participants will work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced actuaries, and develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the actuarial profession.

About the Role

As an Actuarial Development Program Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Participating in the Actuarial Development Program, a comprehensive program designed to develop the next generation of actuarial professionals
  • Working on real-world projects, collaborating with experienced actuaries, and developing the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the actuarial profession
  • Developing and maintaining complex data models, analyzing data, and creating reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including actuaries, data analysts, and business leaders, to develop and implement actuarial solutions
  • Developing and maintaining expertise in actuarial software, including SAS, Python, and R
  • Participating in professional development opportunities, including training, mentorship, and networking events

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Have a strong understanding of actuarial principles and practices
  • Have experience with actuarial software, including SAS, Python, and R
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Actuarial certification or experience working in the actuarial field
  • Experience working with data analysis software, including Excel, SQL, and Tableau
  • Experience working in a healthcare or insurance industry
  • Experience working in a team environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with data visualization tools, including Power BI and D3.js
