**Job Summary**

We're seeking an experienced full stack data engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our data engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data pipelines and architectures that support our business growth and innovation initiatives. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Design and develop large-scale data pipelines and architectures that support our business growth and innovation initiatives
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes
* Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and tools for continuous and batch processing
* Work with the data science team to integrate data and models into automated processes
* Develop and maintain data stores and data models to support information science and other internal clients
* Ensure data quality and accessibility standards are met by incorporating data from various sources
* Investigate current data technology conditions to identify and evaluate key capabilities and suggest solutions
* Explore new tools and technologies to determine the best approach given the requirements directed by the model/use case

**Essential Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong understanding of data architecture and design
* 5+ years of experience with SQL and Python programming languages
* Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
* Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
* Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
* Experience with healthcare industry data an asset

**Skills and Competencies**

* Strong understanding of data architecture and design principles
* Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
* Proficiency in Python programming language
* Experience with SQL and data modeling
