**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development of our web and cloud applications. As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying data-driven solutions that drive business growth and improvement. You will work closely with our scientists, software engineers, and business leaders to define business processes and provide insightful support.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Collaborate with scientists, software engineers, and business leaders to define business processes and provide insightful support
* Influence code to investigate complex datasets and configure, create, and assess data changes to address specific business issues
* Construct adaptable, effective, and automated data pipelines to support client-facing reporting
* Automate TA cycles to streamline business activities
* Communicate verbally or in writing to business clients/leaders to share insights and recommendations
**Essential Capabilities**
* Four-year degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, finance, economics, engineering, or computer science
* 3+ years of experience in data querying languages (e.g., SQL), pre-processing languages (e.g., Python), or statistical/numerical programming (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab, etc.)
* 3+ years of experience in AI/factual modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and boundaries that influence their performance
* Experience applying theoretical models in an applied context
**Favored Capabilities**
* Graduate degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, finance, economics, engineering, or computer science
* Experience in a ML or data scientist role with a large technology organization
**Skills and Competencies**
* Strong understanding of data science concepts, including data mining, machine learning, and statistical modeling
* Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, R, or SQL
* Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
