About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Financial Data Analyst to join our growing Bookkeeping team at arenaflex. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional groups, drive key framework initiatives, and contribute to the development of our financial systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Technical Bookkeeping, Functional Bookkeeping, Engineering, Product, Finance, Tax, Legal, and other stakeholders on policies, processes, and projects, and help drive key framework initiatives and improvements
  • Design and plan comprehensive bookkeeping data requirements to facilitate the automation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and efficiency in financial cycles
  • Lead functional improvement initiatives to further streamline revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close schedule
  • Monitor data quality of journal entries prepared via the Revenue Subledger and design Data Quality checks for identified use cases through bookkeeping requirements design, ad-hoc investigations, new product launches, etc.
  • Work with the Product and Engineering teams to continuously improve our daily Revenue Reconciliation process and manage reconciliation analysis with the help of the analysis team
  • Review new product designs presented during internal Financial Compliance meetings and evaluate the impact on existing or need for new bookkeeping requirements for the Revenue Subledger
  • Cross-collaborate with collaborating teams on the journal entry streams for new or existing products for automation via the Revenue Subledger
  • Perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities, including but not limited to: GAAP revenue analysis, cost of revenue analysis, accounts receivable reconciliations, review journal entries, and review close package expectations
  • Ad-hoc investigations and projects as assigned

Essential Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, data analysis, or business intelligence
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition required; knowledge of IFRS a plus
  • Intermediate/advanced SQL skills and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data, Python a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing environments
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and cross-functional teams, both internally and externally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of financial systems and accounting software
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
