**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced and licensed pharmacy technician to join our team as a Remote Data Entry Pharmacy Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various services, including data entry, provider/patient/third-party outreach, claim adjudication, prior authorizations, and more. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient business operations.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

* Follow company policies and procedures, including register performance, security issues, and confidentiality.
* Assist the pharmacist by receiving new written or electronic prescriptions or refill requests, verifying accuracy and completeness of patient information, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed.
* Receive new prescriptions from doctors' offices, gather required information, and refer medical questions to the pharmacist.
* Access, input, and retrieve patient and prescription information into and from the computer, accurately bill insurance, and generate labels for medications.
* Complete third-party claims adjudication, address rejections in a timely manner, and make necessary provider and third-party calls.
* Maintain effective communication with all staff regarding data entry processes, denied claims, and daily progress.
* Develop courteous and professional relationships with patients, customers, and co-workers.
* Work with the pharmacist to ensure proper Medicare DMEPOS paperwork is complete, provide appropriate product to the customer, and maintain accurate billing records.
* Ensure all controlled substance dispensing rules are followed (MMEs, PDMP, date of last fill).
* Conduct patients, provider, and third-party outreach calls as necessary.
* Assist stores in completion of MTMs and data collection.
* Assist RDOs to complete tasks as necessary for the Operations team.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * Minimum of 3 years pharmacy technician experience
* Extensive knowledge of blithequark's systems and processes required
* Missouri Board of Pharmacy licensed Pharmacy Technician
* Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
* Ability to be self-motivated
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills or the ability to use resources to resolve issues

**Education and/or Experience**

* High school diploma or GED; strong science background; knowledge of the metric system and good math skills; familiarity with pharmacy terminology, medication names, and aseptic techniques desirable
* Current national pharmacy technician certification required
* Minimum of 3 years of Retail Pharmacy Technician experience required

**Board of Pharmacy Registration**

Pharmacy technicians must be registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
