**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, USA. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems that support our business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, design and implement data solutions, and ensure the scalability, security, and performance of our data systems.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design and develop large-scale data systems that support our business operations, including data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipelines
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design data solutions that meet those needs
* Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and data governance policies to ensure data quality and consistency
* Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of our data systems, including data storage, data processing, and data analytics
* Develop and maintain data pipelines and data integration tools to support data exchange between systems
* Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop and maintain data visualizations and data analytics tools
* Participate in agile development methodologies and collaborate with development teams to design and develop software applications
* Develop and maintain technical documentation and provide training and support to other teams as needed
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve our data systems
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
* 2+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or related field
* Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++
* Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data lakes
* Experience with data integration tools such as Apache NiFi, Apache Beam, or AWS Glue
* Experience with data analytics tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or AWS Redshift
* Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
* Strong understanding of data security, data governance, and data quality principles
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
* 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or related field
* Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Flink
* Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, or Redis
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS Lake Formation or Google Cloud Data Fusion
* Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
* Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
* Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes
